Well Vision Examination

Complete vision analysis and ocular health assessment including the dilation to evaluate the structures in the back of the eye. Components of this examination may include: blood pressure, intraocular pressure, visual field screening, computer vision analysis with cornea evaluation, thorough case history, visual acuities, refractive state determination, extra-ocular muscle and pupil testing, biomicroscopy examination, including an examination of lids, cornea, and sclera, subjective findings, far point and near point, assessment of binocular function, amplitude or range of accommodation, ophthalmoscopic examination, including an evaluation of media and fundus. A diagnosis and treatment plan is provided which may include a prescription for eyewear.

Contact Lens Fitting and Evaluation

Determination of the appropriate contact lenses for the vision and eye health needs of the patient, evaluation of the corneal health, and evaluation of the visual status with the contact lenses. A one-time progress evaluation is included to evaluate the overall vision, comfort and fit of the contact lenses. Components may include assessment and determination of appropriate contact lenses, prescription, contact diameter and base curve, biomicroscopic evaluation of the adnexa, eyelids and eyelashes, cornea, corneal surface, tear film, bulbar and palpebral conjunctive. The fitting of the contact lens may include evaluation of the refractive status with the contact lenses, contact lens movement, contact lens rotation, contact lens stability and comfort.

Ophthalmologic Evaluation

Medical evaluation of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. Components of this examination may include a blood pressure, intraocular pressure, visual field screening, thorough case history, visual acuities, extra-ocular muscle and pupil evaluation, biomicroscopy examination, including an examination of lids, cornea, and sclera, and ophthalmoscopic examination, including an evaluation of media and fundus. Additional testing may be needed including a threshold visual field, fundus photography, optical coherence tomography, gonioscopy and corneal topography. A diagnosis and treatment plan is provided which may include a prescription for medication.
